I wanted to know if anyone here has seen this musical and knows if it is appropriate viewing for a Catholic, or if there is a Catholic/Christian review of it available.

It’s not that I’m worried about it being an occasion of sin for me to go see it; I simply don’t want to give my money to an organization that produces immoral (especially anti-Catholic) shows.

Thanks for the help.

I never heard of it, but it cant be worse than Vag-Mon, because after menopause we don’t care about all that any more. Never thought of celebrating it with music

I went to a production in Chicago this fall. It is really really funny, esp. if you are menopausal, or post-menopausal. However, I would warn that one of the last scenes depicts the Iowa housewife character and her new sexual awakening to self stimulation; big scene in praise of her vibrator with all 4 characters holding vib’s (looks like the props are really plasic microphones). She now feels fulfilled and really a ‘woman’. Ugh. That was the only part that disgusted me.

My longtime gf and dh went. (She also said she went to the Vag. Mon.) They are practicing RC’s, but consistently bring up things in conversation which tells me they have difficulties with RC being the Truth as Jesus taught us. One line from the dh was “Everybody wants to be right.” I did not challenge them. My gf also once told me she didn’t feel she could really believe in something that happened 2,000 yrs ago; I replied that as Catholics, we believe that Jesus’ sacrifice happens at every Mass! It is present, not past. And she also said she didn’t know if she could keep attending Mass. Last time I visited, I left a copy of Scott Hahn’s book on the sacraments, Swear to God amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0385509316/qid=1102614173/sr=2-2/ref=pd_ka_b_2_2/102-6854550-6240949.
I’d started reading it, and decided to give it to them as an anniversary present. I hope and pray it bears much fruit. :gopray2:
