For several years now a group of 6-8 men have been meeting weekly for
a Men’s Bible Study. We review and discuss the Scripture readings for
the upcoming Sunday’s liturgy. As a resource we have been using the
Paulist Press publication, Share the Word, which is published about 4-5 times per year. For
each week there is a short commentary (3-4 pages) on that week’s Sunday
readings. Nothing too profound, but it does provide a nice introduction
and helps spawn discussion.
I just learned that Share the Word is going out of business. So I’m
looking for a similar publication that we might use. Is anyone familiar
with any publications (orthodox, of course) that do something similar? Could you recommend to
me another resource?

I don’t know how to answer your question exactly.

But, take a look around at Scott Hahn’s St. Paul Center website for individual and group study aids. Good book references there, too.

Also check out (I haven’t verified the information that I have been given recently) which is supposed to have group studies based on Scott Hahn’s site material, which is

css.catholicexchange.com/

And here’s another that I have been referred to recently also, but there too I haven’t had a chance to check it out.

There may be some interesting things coming from the Catholic Apologetics International website

www.catholicintl.com
(but it wasn’t working when I tried it; it should be ok)

Harmony Media produces a CD called St. Thomas Aquinas and the Summa Theologica.

It allows you to easily pull up any scripture and the commentary by the Church Fathers… Any given Sunday reading might produce 5-10 pages of consise commentary… really good stuff!!!

especially the Catholic Apologetics Study Bible.

Gospel of Matthew is now available (Revelations due out shortyly)

It is typical of Sungenis’ work… extremely well referenced, easy to read… totally Catholic.
