Men's protestant bible study group

My husband and a close friend of his are starting up a men’s prayer/bible study group. They are planning on studying bible prophecy to begin with. My DH is a born-again Christian (baptized in a Baptist church and raised in non-denom church). He goes to mass with my children and I every Sunday (6+ yrs) but I’m not sure he “get’s much out” of going. Still he goes and I am ever so grateful! Anyways, in his search of some bible study guide on prophecy I mentioned to him about looking for something from Catholic Answers. He went to the website but didn’t find any sort of guide. I know he is looking into a protestant guide by Ron Graff & Lambert Dolphin (ldolphin.org/kingdom/index.html) and at first glance it appears to not be overtly anti-Catholic. I desparately want to provide him with something that has a Catholic interpretation and at the same time not be toooo ‘Roman’. Are there any good Catholic slanted bible study guides on prophecy? Is A Guide To The Bible by Dr. Antonio Fuentes a good place to start? Thanks!!!
 
Are you talking about the prophecy of Revelation? Or the prophecies of Ezekiel, Isaiah, and Jeremiah?

Qorbono.com deals with this alot. I think Spauline (from these forms - you can PM him) has a lot of information on his web-site that deals with this, also.
 
My DH wants to study all biblical prophecy, from Genesis to Revelation. He’s especially interested in current events and how they are linked to biblical prophecy (end times so to speak) but he is not a fanatic about the end times.
 
I would recomment that The Bible Time Line available through Ascension Press should be considered.

I’d be afraid that all prophecies are going to be interpreted to Today.

It’s the end of the world as we know it!
 
Scott Hahn has a tape series on the book of Revelation but unless one accepts the authority of the Catholic Church, then the views of those in communion with it are going to be accepted or rejected on the basis of their own ideals or wants. If your husband ( DH = dear husband???) isn’t Catholic then he is subject to the varying winds of doctrinal change inherent in the anti-authoritarian beliefs of protestantism. Look at how all denominations rejected birth control in the 1930’s and how the only one left to combat the evil of separating sex from procreation and life is the authoritative Church of Christ, the Catholic Church. This authority is the basis for the belief in all doctrine from Baptism, Bible infallibility, Trinity, marriage, and other Catholic doctrines co-opted by protestants. A complete knowledge of your faith will direct him better. Both of you going to RCIA would be good to direct him. I am a sponsor of a couple, one Catholic and the other coming into the Church at Easter, Praise God!

In lieu of RCIA, “Will Catholics be Left Behind” by Carl Olson is a good book to explain the intricacies of the development of “rapture” and end times prophecy.
