Mental Telepathy

I know telepathy has no basis in science…is it related in any way to anything spiritual…I ask this as often my wife or myself will be thinking of something and sure enough within a minute or two the one who is thinking of something…the spouse will ask the same question…ie…today I told my wife I was going to cook supper…but after working out in the vegetable garden I thought we’ll just go eat out at Golden Corral…sure enough within two minutes my wife said…why don’t we just go to Golden Corral and eat…and this happens quite regularly with either one of us so it’s not just coincidence…and not just about food…but many different things…I’m sure other couples…family members etc have similar things happen…but it is curious as to why…any thoughts.
 
It’s not mental telepathy or anything spiritual. My wife and I have similar experiences. When you are so close to someone it is natural to begin thinking similarly. That’s all.
 
That happens with my husband and I too. I will say something and he will give me a look for a second and say I was going to say the same thing!!
 
My husband and I used to have this experience on a regular basis. Even though I have been widowed for 15 years now I still miss being that close to someone else. We were married for 33 years but knew each other from 7th grade. When it would happen he’d look at me and say to stop walking around in his mind! Sweet memory.
 
This happens in my home too.

I think what happens is that you become so familiar with your spouse that you can anticipate their wants or moods.

Then whatever put the thought in your head “too late to cook means Golden Corral is an option” triggered the same thought in your spouse. Because you’re so familiar with each other.
 
Thanks for the responses…I understand what y’all are saying but it still seems more than you or your spouse reading each others body language etc…maybe there is a psychic connection that science can’t detect in a physical way…it’s similar to some people having premonitions or dreams that come true…many older tribal communities seems to possess psychic abilities and don’t think of them as anything special…maybe in our materialistic world we’ve lost that ability to a large extent…incidentally my wife hates Golden Corral and would NEVER suggest it…she loves mexican and ALWAYS suggests that…so for her to suggest Golden Corral after I thought it…believe me…no way…lol

She was just saying thank you for doing all that yard work.
 
That is what I was thinking, she picked that because she knows that’s what her husband likes.
 
Actually I don’t really like it neither…it was only because it was Friday and she could get fish and I could get just vegetables…I just didn’t feel like going to Captain D’s…which we normally do on most Fridays…so nope…
 
Mental telepathy has been tested for but does not appear to actually exist.
