How can they tell who’s viewing thier forum?

PAX,

JullienYep…they sure did! Some forum software…(like this one in fact) can be set to display the names of everyone who has logged in in the last 24 hours, so that is how it worked. The Admin just wanted a reason to get rid of as many of the faithful Catholics who contested the lies and misinformation at every turn. In fact the admin was one of the worst offenders, even alleging that a certain private “tearoom” on a Catholic forum was where we Catholics plotted to board swarm their forum and all kinds of other evil, wicked, mean and nasty Catholic plots. The fact is that the private forum in question is just one for Catholics to goof off and unwind, and (being a member myself) I knew that the a-C forum in question had never even been discussed in there. In fact…it still hasn’t to this day. :rotfl:

People can be pretty weird. I had decided to boycott posting in that forum for a while because they were so rotten to us and it had reached the point of diminished returns anyway. I wasn’t popular with the mods & admins because I wouldn’t knuckle under and shut up, and they hated being shown facts that proved them wrong.

Do I miss it? Not at all! I hang out over at Catholic Central now when I’m not here at CAF. It’s time better spent. 🙂

I see your point. Maybe your’e right.
Thanks for the welcome. Pray for my kids , they think we are really nutty fanatics (and we were fanatics even before we came home!)
If I hear from him, I will let you guys know.
God bless
Doc
Hey Doc. ^5
I see your point. Maybe your’e right.
Then again, I could be way off base. I’ve been told by people, both in real life and on these Forums, that I’m a bit judgmental, to put it mildly.
That seems to be my natural reaction when I see or hear Anti-Catholic venom being spewed from misinformed or outright malicious websites and people.
When they attack Mother Church and Her members, they attack Jesus Christ. When they attack Jesus Christ and His Mystical Body, I defend Her and I come across as being uncharitable, as I tend to get a tad impatient and offended.
Something I’ll have to work on, I suppose.
Pray for my kids
You got it, Bro. 👍
Pray for mine, as well. One just turned 20 and the other 15.
Unfortunately, the lure of the world has them in its grasp.
I blame myself for that.
By the time I came “Home”, their minds were already formed by the agenda of liberal secularism, rationalism and Cafeteria-Catholicism. (This, after having attended Parochial elementary school)
I pray for them, constantly.
If I hear from him, I will let you guys know.
Thanks. Would love to see what he has to say.
He’ll probably tell you he’ll be praying for you to see the “error of your ways”, or that you’ll see the “truth”.
I hear that stuff from my evangelical buddy, constantly. It gets old after a while.

**PAX **Bro,

Jullien

Hi Black Knight and Peace to you and yours.

Is that site set up to where you have to be a registered member just to view the Forums?
I’ve been to a few Forum sites over the years. Usually, one doesn’t need to register if they’re just lurking.
However, if you want to post, then you need to register with the site.

Thanks and God Bless!

If I had the funds, time and knowledge, I’d put up one of those professional websites with the URL: www.savingcatholics.org. (Actually, I checked it out and that domain name is available, as well as .com and .net)

The heading would be: SAVING CATHOLICS (which would draw many anti-catholics as well as catholics to the site.)

Sub heading: From the agendas of anti-Catholics who are trying to lure them out of the Chuch, by telling them they are not saved. (Or something to that effect)
The bandwith would probably wind up costing more than the actual Hosting package, because I’m sure the hits would be extremely high in numbers with a domain name like that.

I’d give a list of their tactics and show Catholics, in detail, how these tactics are used against us. Then, I’d give them the info they need to combat these tactics, etc.
Kind of like using the same tactics Mizzi and others like him, use on unsuspecting, poorly Catechised Catholics.

Turning the tables, if you will.
Afterall, “All’s fair in Love and Apologetics”. 😃

Oh well; it’s nice to dream.

YES! YES! YES!

Now THAT is one of the most clever and strategic ideas I’ve heard in a long time Jullien, my friend!!!

Just think of how many Catholics and non-Catholics, alike, who would be educated from the site! Not to mention the possibility of saving souls by giving the correct teachings of the RCC along with references.

Really, that is a perfect url (domain) name! Curiosity, alone, will draw many to the site.

If I ever hit the lottery (or even the “Big 4”) I’ll be PM’ing you about your idea Julls. (Not kidding)

God Bless!

Nope…anyone can view the JFC section but you have to register to even read their “apologetics”.

One thing that kinda cooks my carcass is stuff like this from their admin.
I want to clarify something about our rules here. One of our rules is that you cannot question another persons salvation. That does not apply to us in this forum.
In this forum, we fight for the Truth against others that are often unsaved so this rule wouldn’t apply. We believe that anyone that doesn’t have a personal relationship with Jesus isn’t saved. Catholics do not have this relationship and therefore aren’t saved. Yes, there are some saved catholics, but the Spirit ultimately leads them out of that church. They were saved not because of the church but inspite of it.(Emphasis mine)
I just thank God that CAF isn’t like that.

I just won’t even consider going back to post there. There’s no point. We could be miraculously feeding 5,000 hungry people and givin’ each one a Bible and then walking on water to be missionaries all over the world and these guys would still give us grief like this.
Don’t bother…

Oooooookayyyy, can we say “UNeducated” and “UNprofessional”? :tsktsk:

Jullien’s idea is looking better and better.

If Jesus, Himself, came down and told them the CC was the Church He founded, they’d ask Him, “Where’s THAT in the Bible?” 😦
Don’t bother
I wouldn’t. It’s not worth it.
Besides, I have a hot Italian temper. (I wonder if I’m in any way a descendant of St. Jerome’s family)
Did he have any brothers or sisters? Extended cousins? 😃
I just thank God that CAF isn’t like that.
Agreed. Freedom of speech is great, isn’t it? 😉

God Bless!

hmm…:hmmm:

Is that a ***good ***“hmm…”, Unfinished, or a ***bad ***“hmm…”? Or a “this guy’s completely off his rocker”, “hmm…”? 🙂

PAX,

No, it’s a good hmm. My buddy is professional web page designer.

And i’m a Catholic apologist. (Sorta:P)

I just put the idea in my tool bag for when I would be able to afford it. (Well…I dunno. How expensive is crazy bandwith?) I know if St. Paul were alive today he would have a webpage.

Well, if this goes through, by the Grace of God, we’ll need all the apologists (amateur or otherwise) we could get.
## Especially people who can communicate with straight and concise information, instead of long drawn out explanations. ##
People rarely read through those types of replies. Or if they do, they get bored with them.

I like Martignoni’s style, personally.

Like I told Denise, count me in. I am an internet junkie and it would be WAY more productive than what I normally do online. I am going to sit here anyway…why not do something to praise God? 😃

Earlier I mention on how the “term and conditions” were not listed with the “contact us” link on Mizzi web-page.

Well I emailed Mizzi about it telling I thought they should be listed with the “contact us” link.

He just emailed me back. Sad really…

He told me it was a good idea, but he can’t change it because he doesn’t have the “technical know-how” to do it. :bigyikes:

Well, the question is how did he get a web-page up and running if he doesn’t have “technical know-how”???

The folowing made me :clapping: and think good for Mizzi! In the email Mizzi sent me: He admitted that it was possible for John not to have seen the “term and conditions” before John emailed him.👍

I give Mizzi a reply email telling him that I would be looking for that statement on his web-page. Do you think he would admit that it was possible for John, NOT to have seen the “terms and conditions”???

There were other thing in the email after that made me :banghead: and :nope: and :tsktsk:. Oh well.

At least he admitted that is was possible for John not to see his “terms and conditions”.

While we are on the subject of Joe Mizzi, I would like to say something. I looked through Joe Mizzi’s website and I am very disgusted. Joe’s remarks on the celibacy and the priesthood shows that he has no understanding of the true meaning of celibacy and sexuality. According to John Paul II, “celibacy is not a rejection of sexuality” but Joe Mizzi is trying to make it sound like celibacy is the cause of the sex scandels in the Church. After reading Christopher West’s commentary on Pope John Paul II’s theology of the body, I learned that it is sin that causes sexual disorder, NOT celibacy.
Any of Joe’s scriptures that he uses to refute celibacy such as 1 Tim. 4:1 and 1 Tim. 3:2, can easily be refuted by these scripture passages.
Eph. 5:21, Matt. 19:12, Jer. 16:1-4, 1 Cor. 7:8, 1 Cor. 7:32, 2 Tim. 2:3, 1 Tim. 5: 9-12

Sorry if I completely changed the subject but I had to get that out of my system.

On the subject of the previous e-mail between Joe and John, I think that John obviously has Joe in a very frustrating position. That was very unprofessional of Joe to insult John the way he did.

Yeah, he posts here from time to time and just by way of update, he is apparently still exchanging mail because they are still responding to each other in John’s newsletters.

I’ve read some of his stuff too and just kinda 🤷 because most times it’s inaccurate and his readers are too ignorant of the truth to know it.

Joe, your responses were honest and sincere! After reading the forums so much, I finally had to register, just to thank you for speaking the truth.

Marc
