Not sure where this belongs, move it if necessary.

I was sitting in a local bagel shop this morning with a Baptist friend and I was eagerly telling her about Mary and her role in my faith. (I am a cradle Catholic). It was so bizarre. At about that moment, on the overhead radio, I heard ‘Ave Maria’ playing. I believe it was a country music station, too. It was the craziest thing! The whole thing seemed so out of place that I can only believe it was a message from the Blessed Mother. What a wonderful gift. I am absolutely walking on air. I hope it was a message that her prayers are with me as I embark on supplementing my children’s public school education with a homeschool Catechism program.

It may very well be the case but be careful of going totally public with it. I have had similar experiences and have been cautioned to keep it under raps. Those who truly experience signs from above should not wish to become world known persons. It is not a popularity contest.

Thank you. Not looking for recognition for it, but more awe-struck.

What a beautiful story! 🙂

A few days ago I was cuddling my 3 year old son, and he grabbed my Miraculous Medal. I decided he was old enough to be taught that it is a Miraculous Medal. So I told him, “This is a Miraculous Medal” and repeated it several times in various ways. Then I asked him what it was, expecting him to say something that sort of sounded like “Miraculous Medal” but he looked very intensely at it and said perfectly and in a very grave tone of voice, “MARY!” I never told him it was Mary! :heaven:

Another time recently I was putting my 1 year old down to sleep (she was sleeping in my arms and I was trying to put her in her crib). But she started opening her eyes and let out a few cries. I thought to myself, “This can’t possibly end well!” knowing that I had a one in a million chance of baby going down to sleep under these conditions. I was about to do an about-face and sit down to nurse her some more and try again later, but I thought “No! Mary can do anything! Help me, Mother Mary!!!” and baby girl went down without so much as another whimper! 😃 This may seem like a small, insignificant thing to others, but I know my child, and I know she would NOT ordinarily go down under those circumstances.

Right on…in this day and age especially, it would open several cans of worms of recognition that one would not even want.😉

Hi Jen. Thank you so much, for sharing this experience. Maybe I’m missing something… but I don’t think you’ve “gone public” with it. That could only be done, if you posted your photo… your mailing address and your phone number in the dialogue box. Or, of course… if all your personal information is availabe in your profile.

I can only speak for myself, but hearing about these experiences does help my faith. God bless. 🙂

Thank you. That was not my intent. I appreciate you ‘getting it’.🙂

That is amazing!!! What did your Baptist friend think of it or did they notice or did you bring it up to them? Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for sharing.

I have a friend who doesn’t kow the Faith, I’ve given her a Rosary, and information on praying to the Blessed Mother. Well, she smelled Roses one time. Just thinking the Rosary was scented, she didn’t mention it to me for months. I told her, no, they were not scented, however, that was a sign from the BVM.

Another friend, received a sign in the scent of roses as well.

I on the other hand, received a sign…my 2yo broke my brand new statue of Mary and a few minutes later, my 3yo managed to pull my Miraculous Medal off my chain…all within a few minutes. Well, needless to say, I stopped and prayed. Told the Blessed Mother, that I was sorry for not talking to her more  and that she got my attention.

When I got all excited, she sort of looked at me like, “Oooooooooookay.

Another time, I was at another (Catholic) friend’s home and it was POURING outside. Her phone rang and it was her neighbor, a non-Catholic, who wanted her to come look at a pattern of rain in her window. She thought she saw the BVM, but wanted my friend to see it. My friend went and when she came back, was kind of moved, because it really did appear to be the vision of the BVM. So I wanted to see as well, but her neighbor didn’t answer the door when I went. That was a Tuesday. Friend’s mother died VERY unexpectedly on Friday of that week. We are now convinced that that was message of peace, intended for my friend at a time when she needed it. That is why the neighbor didn’t answer when I rang.
