MET Gala glorified Catholicism as an institution that enslaved people

Someone might make the same extreme statement about the USA. In which case I’d just decide the person was a really angry person thinking illogically, and ignore them.

Not every crazy statement requires or even deserves a response.

Start by challenge them on their math. The British Empire was not Catholic had colonies all over the world.

How much of Asia did Catholics take over?
 
I would pray for her. But I wouldn’t respond. there’s nothing to be gained (except maybe heartburn) from responding to someone who is so misguided.
