So this guy tails against the Church so much, the Church he apparently believes in and respects. How does he then go into a Church to receive the Eucharist or the other sacraments? I cannot comprehend his mentality, how he can publically attack the church and it’s representatives (the US hierarchy, for instance) and then still think that Catholics have it right?

What is witht this guy??

From as near as I can tell, a superiority complex with narcissistic personality disorder.

Mr. Voris does not attack Church belief, he goes after those who refuse to do their job inside the Church. He is in no way committing grave sin in doing that, he is trying to help the Church. Therefore, he is quite capable of going to Communion. It would be different if he was a pro-abort politician or one who supported them. By the way, I hear Cardinal Burke likes the guy.

There’s a difference between attacking the Chruch as in the Holy Body of Christ versus criticising the various individuals that consider themselves to be inside the Church. Canon law completely allows for criticism of various members of the clergy by the laity:

"According to their knowledge, competence and prestige which they possess, [the Christian faithful] have the right and even at the times the duty to manifest to the sacred pastors their opinion on matters which pertain to the good of the Church and to make their opinion known to the rest of the Christian faithful"
  • Canon Law 212 Section 3

But what about our obedience to our bishops? If Cardinal Burke likes him, fine, but what about other princes of the Church? He publically criticizes Cardinal Dolan for instance, as well as Cardinal Francis George, to name a few.

Just because one is able to disagree doesn’t mean one should.

Maybe I just wish some people would stop being their own Pope.

**Nothing. He is trying to get the attention of some members of the hierarchy. I’ve yet to hear the man tail the Church. I’ve visited his studio and from the looks of things, this guy is a very good Catholic. Some people judge him for being “too gruff”, yet I’ve met and talked to the man. He is a very humble guy, down to earth and mostly always has a smile on his face. He is trying to point out some red lights that are going off in the Churches in America. **

And his authority for seeing and condemning these “red lights” is…?

There have been numerous threads here concerning Mr. Voris. It has been frequently observed that his personal style can be divisive and for some, gets in the way of his underlying message.

Are you kidding?? This guy is awesome. He stands behind the church, the true church, 100 percent.

Voris is hardcore and that is why many Catholics (cafeteria) are turned off by him. They don’t like to hear the truth.

I think the two Cardinals I mentioned above would disagreement with “100 percent” remark. Unless you do not consider them to be part of the true Church.

Show me where Voris goes against the churches teachings.

As far as the Cardinals, I would only consider them to be part of the true church if they were obedient to the church.

You do realize that we are able to have our own opinions, right? We can agree/disagree with the Cardinals unless its regarding the churches teachings.

Are you saying you don’t consider them part of the church?

Is this something every Catholic decides for himself? I use the term “Catholic” loosely here.
