Middle Ground?

What kind of church would exist if all of the Christians in the world united, including Catholics?
Obviously, not everyone is going to accept everyone’s teachings because that’s why we have so much religious separation today. What do you think the “middle ground” would be?
Granted, I know this will NEVER happen but I’m just curious what the “ultimate” church would be.

Look at the Anglicans. It will give you an idea.
Ultimate? What does that mean? Is a dinner consisting only of Vienna pasteries the ultimate dinner? Or the well balanced meal?
What about a Church that has ultimate Truth?
Look at those who are chasing after the ultimate. Mainstream protestants in a free fall. Those interested in Truth, growing.

Do you mean “ultimate” in terms of relativity, a “hey! let’s all get together and make up a new religion where we can all add or subtract whatever we want” type of thing? Or do you mean “ultimate” in terms of the fullnes of God’s own Truth?

'Cause if it’s the latter, there’s no need to invent such a thing, it’s already here.

Ultimate being the one, combined church.

It already exists–it is the Catholic Church. All others are not churches but only those bodies of believers of one sort or another who cannot or will not accept the truths of the Catholic faith. This cannot be side-stepped or wished away by any false dream of a church in which everyone has his own truth.

Why would anyone want such a church, that is besides Unitarians (whose church has veered far off course from its beginnings due to the odd idea that everyone’s spirituality is just as good as the real thing).

Such a church as you propose would not last one generation and has already been tried by every new group that’s come down the pike since Luther.

Never said it would last or even happen. I was just wondering what kind of a church it would be.
