I am going to miss midnight mass this Christmas eve. Is it required? Can I make it up?

Christmas is a holy day of obligation, and midnight mass is just one of many masses that your parish will likely hold to celebrate Christmas. Check their schedule and you will likely see that they also have mass earlier in the evening on Christmas Eve or during Christmas day itself. You may go to any of those masses.
 
Christmas is a holy day of obligation, check your parish bulletin or website for the times of the Masses on Christmas eve and Christmas day that fill that obligation. Don’t forget we also have an obligation for the Sunday Mass on the 24th, which can be filled either at the Saturday evening or Sunday morning Masses.

If you miss Mass on a day of obligation or Sunday there is no way to “make it up” on another day.
