Is anyone attending this next weekend (Aug. 5-7th) in Wichita?

This will be my first Catholic Conference and I am so excited to go.

I was looking forward to combining it with a sort of Mommy Retreat as well, but I think dh is going with me. That will be ok, he is sitting on the fence regarding his beliefs, so I’m happy he is going…and willingly. Woohoo.

I think we might drive down for a little while, even though we have a wedding on the 6th. Not sure, though!

It is such a great event. We always go when we can since we live in Wichita.

We will actually be in Chicago for a short vacation, so won’t be able to go. We went last year and really enjoyed! Very prayerful, inspirational and uplifting.

That’s what I’m hoping for. I haven’t been to Reconciliation in a verrrrry long time so I was hoping for some time to really reflect on it. I can’t wait!!

We just attended the National Catholic Family Conference here in Anaheim, CA last weekend, and it was fabulous. The speakers were so inspiring, and I have been thinking about all the things I heard all week. About 11 years ago, I attended the same conference (when it was much smaller!) as an Evangelical girl with a new Catholic boyfriend. To make a long story short, God used that conference to lead me “home” to the Catholic Church. Now I’m married to that Catholic boy, and we have 5 beautiful children. We attend the conference every year we can!
