(LifeSiteNews) – Dr. Judith Arcana is a proud member of the Chicago pre-Roe v. Wade underground abortion service known as ‘Jane’. She was invited and spoke to students of the bioethics class entitled ‘Ethics of Human Reproduction’ at Loyola University Chicago, a Jesuit institution, on October 5 of this year. Arcana is a vehement supporter of abortion on demand and believes that **the abortion movement will only gain ‘lost ground’ by admitting that abortion is the killing of a living child **but that that is a choice for the mother…
I fail to understand her logic but it does show how truly hard-hearted one must be to know ‘abortion is killing a living child’ yet choose abortion regardless. Pro-lifers need to concentrate more on the harm abortion does to women as even the opposition is prepared to admit abortion kills a living baby. When I stood in the Life Chain a couple of weeks ago it was the sign “Abortion Hurts Women” which drew the ire not the “Abortion Kills Children.” It would seem everyone knows that already.

As for the issue of Loyola University it is a scandal that directives from the Vatican are so openly flaunted. :banghead:

How long will it take to implement EX CORDE ECCLESIAE (On Catholic Universities) promulgated by John Paul II more than sixteen years ago?

I don’t see how a supposedly Catholic institution can provide a platform for this message. The alumni should speak up.

think you are correct that when you place the focus on the harm done to the woman, both emotional and physical, the response is altogether different. A strong message that pro-abortion is not pro-woman can send the pro-aborts reeling! Interesting that the pro-aborts recently started their own campaign of having women who have had abortions sign petitions indicating that the abortion helped them - I dare say if you asked most of those women in a few years, their thoughts on the subject may very well have changed.
It is also very important for women who have had abortions to be made aware of the help that is available once they realize what an abortion is, as well as not to judge them. Many of them will feel very betrayed by the pro-abortion advocates.
