Is anyone involved in ministry to the spiritually poor? By this I mean those who may have fallen away from the Church, those who are suffering through despair and difficulty in their lives and questioning their faith as a result of it, or even those who are outside of the Church (atheists, agnostics, etc.)? I have for some time felt as though this may be an area where I can contribute to the Church, but most parishes seem to focus much more on material poverty (which is, of course, as it should be, but not necessarily the place where every Catholic’s gifts are most useful). If you are involved in any such ministry, please do share!

Just try be like you with God in you’re heart. (try to talk to Him)
Talk to a priest (or an excessively helpful friend ) and read a few papal encyclicals on virtues and/or example.
The Bible and the Catechism help too

Hope this helps
Merry Christmas and God bless You

I have been teaching english/nursing in a part of Asia that would be classified as “spiritually poor” and not materially weathy either. My students are all atheists for the most part. Most haven’t heard the gospel. I love trying to befriend and share with them.

Don’t know if that could be something you’d be interested in. Of course it’s not really “parish” involvement. Depends on your giftings I guess.

God bless and guide you.
