Miracle or imagery?

Is it a miracle if God where to speak to me in my mind or is it only a true miracle if it a physical sound?

Like lets say if it told me his holiness Pope Benedict XVI is going to resign and that lighting will strike the dome of Saint Peters basilica a week before it actually happened?

That is remarkably like what I experienced after returning to the fold. As our priest was partaking of the host, I distinctly heard a voice loudly say “welcome home”. I have not doubted ever since, and that was two years ago.

Not all revelations will be earth shattering. Some will simply be very personal.

God can communicate with us if He wants to.

We have examples of that happening in Scripture where He uses Angels or dreams and visions to communicate with us, His people, for example.

However, it helps to talk to a Spiritual Director about these experiences so that you can learn to discern whether the experiences that you are having are coming from inside of you or from an outside source.

Well i had dreams and visions all the time.

If so its in the making.

But when i tell this there are only 2 outcomes.
One is really disappointing.
And the other is really intimidating.

A Spiritual Director can be your Pastor/priest, another religious like a Nun, or a lay person.

I have a scheduled appointment with our parish priest in a few weeks.
I just have to think of a way to bring it up.
