There are photos and stories of Eastern Orthodox, coptic orthodox, Armenian apostolic, and Ethiopian orthodox miracles like moving mountains and apparitions of a dove and mary, how do we as Catholics see this? As fake? or as true?

Before the 11th century, when the West and East were One Church, is a period where many miracles seem to have occurred in places of the East.

These Orthodox churches are apostolic like us. Jesus is truly present in their churches. I imagine He performs miracles for them just as He does for us, and these miracles may even be oriented towards moving them to Catholicism.

On another note, when was there ever a reported miracle of a mountain being moved?

This article mentions 3 who are said to have moved a mountain.
You can google their names if you want more info.

I’m getting an image of an angel with a caliper, comparing the prayor’s faith and a mustard seed 😱🤣

We can later identify these mountains, as the angel drops the seed, leaving a mustard field for the future 🤣

In the Coptic Orthodox church there is someone known as Simon the tanner. He supposedly moved a mountain, and while alive during the churches union, it is not affirmed by the Roman Catholic church, or EO, only Coptic church. What do we say about this miracle? That it was false? Even though it is quite clear that it moved a few miles from where it was previously written to be?

Forgive me, but I’m inclined to skepticism. If it had moved as you said it did, then I would have expected the news to have flown to all corners of the globe and everyone to have converted to Coptic Orthodoxy. Please use prudence when assessing miracles.

Reports of someone moving a mountain that are not present in Catholic scripture are likely to fall in the category of “unapproved private revelation” and hence are off-limits as a discussion topic for this forum.

Having said that, I reckon if God wanted to work through someone to move a mountain, He could and would do so, and there is no requirement that he choose a Catholic for this task.

i doubt that Catholics think very much about purported miracles from other faiths, since we are not required to believe in them and it’s frankly not important to the vast majority of us. We do not look to miracles to prove that our Catholic Church is correct in its teachings, and we would not take a miracle happening to someone of another faith as meaning that their faith is correct and ours is not. We would simply say that God works where and through whom He wills.
