I assume since life begins at conception, these babies who have died under these circumstances are in heaven. I am really wondering because my mom said she had a miscarriage very early on, and I believe that that means I have another sibling in Heaven. Any thoughts?

God is merciful and loving and would never be unjust, you can rest in that knowledge.God Bless

i see no problem with assuming that both are with God in heaven!👍

My only pregnancy was ectopic, a soul was created at conception…I am a mother of a child in heaven.

Here something to think about…next time you are in Mass, think of your sibling singing right along with you and all the angels and saints during the Sanctus. It’s pretty powerful to know that someone as close as a sibling (or child in my case) has seen the face of God and that we join them in the unending hymn. Powerful .

If you have ever had a gynecological exam, the doctor will ask how many times you have been pregnant, and how many live births you have had. He doesn’t negate your pregnancies, so why would God. He formed your child in your womb, and named them even before they were conceived. I believe that all of our children, miscarried, aborted, are in the hands of an all merciful and loving God.🙂

Thank you all for the replies. Schana, what you said really got me. See, my mom had 2 abortions and a miscarriage, and I think of my siblings. I am not sure anyone else does but I do and I mourn them. They are my flesh and blood as much as my sister who is here on earth with me now is. It makes me sad, but to think that when singing the Sanctus at mass touched me. Thank you.

We suffered three miscarriages between the births of my two sons. I believe my babies are in heaven.

Peace

1261 As regards children who have died without Baptism, the Church can only entrust them to the mercy of God, as she does in her funeral rites for them. Indeed, the great mercy of God who desires that all men should be saved, and Jesus’ tenderness toward children which caused him to say: "Let the children come to me, do not hinder them,"64 allow us to hope that there is a way of salvation for children who have died without Baptism. All the more urgent is the Church’s call not to prevent little children coming to Christ through the gift of holy Baptism.

Monicathree -

Glad to have been able to offer something to you. After our loss, sometimes the only thing that would get me thru the day was the fact that we now had our own Saint in heaven to pray for us, and to ask to interceed.

Call upon your siblings in heaven for intercession!
