Missals

I know this has probably been on her a few thousand billion times, and I hope I’m not violating forum rules or anything, but I am on the search for a new Missal.

My old ones are getting worn out, and I don’t want to keep on using them, for fear that they’ll fall apart. So, people of this wonderful forum, what Missal do you use (for the TLM)?
And where can I find one?

I ordered my Angelus missal from Amazon.com, and am quite happy with it. All the readings, beautiful prayers, instruction on fasting and confession. I’ve gotten a lot of use out of it.

I have an Angelus Press Missal and so far I really enjoy it.

Just for accuracy, there is no “Angelus Missal” . The one they offer is a reprint of a previous missal.

And before anyone screams “Angelus is SSPX”, note that Sancta Missa sells the Angelus version. They are in full communion with Rome.

Baronius Press also has a missal that some like. I have the Fr. Lasance Missal which I purchased from Leaflet Missal Company (despite the name they sell more than just missals). I prefer it to the Angelus Press missal and the Baronius because the print of the Latin and English are the same size. In the other two missals, the English print is larger and the Latin very small for the readings and prayers.

St. Andrews Missal is very good as well.

Still waiting for an all-Latin handmissal version, though.

Call your local Catholic bookstore and see what they have in stock. Most Catholic bookstores carry either one, or both, and can always special order one for you.

I personally like supporting the local bookstores, as it helps the local economy and encourages people who have taken on this very helpful ministry.

Hi Ruth, it is/was The Ideal Missal, 1962 revised version, printed in Belgium.

Haven’t got one unfourtunately. There’s an Anglican one in town which sells Catholic things as well, but they won’t get Missals like this.

I am leaning towards the Missal published by Angelus Press…
