Missing Mass and Communion

If we miss Sunday Mass for 1 or 2 weeks for no good reason,do we have to confess this before we go to Mass again and take Communion?

If we have taken Communion after missing some Masses,if this serious sin?

should we confess this also?
 
Whenever you know that an act is grave matter and you choose to do it anyway you commit a mortal sin. It is grave matter (mortal sin) to miss Mass for " no good reason". It is grave matter (mortal sin) to receive communion in a state of mortal sin. A person that has committed a mortal sin must go through confession before receiving communion.
 
From the Catechism of the Catholic Church:
1415 Anyone who desires to receive Christ in Eucharistic communion must be in the state of grace. Anyone aware of having sinned mortally must not receive communion without having received absolution in the sacrament of penance.

2181 The Sunday Eucharist is the foundation and confirmation of all Christian practice. For this reason the faithful are obliged to participate in the Eucharist on days of obligation, unless excused for a serious reason (for example, illness, the care of infants) or dispensed by their own pastor. Those who deliberately fail in this obligation commit a grave sin.

He who receives Communion in mortal sin receives the body and blood of Christ, but does not receive His grace, and he commits a great sacrilege.

Just to clarify, you should go to Confession before you receive the Eucharist, but even if you can’t get to Confession, you should go to Mass and **not **receive the Eucharist.

You should confess any of these things you have done:
  1. Missed Mass for no good reason
  2. Received the Eucharist after missing Mass and before going to Confession.
 
We do need to go to Mass every Sunday. And missing Mass"for no good reason" is a sin. (There are just reasons for missing Mass, but it doesn’t sound like you had a reason.)

Even if you don’t want to get up Sunday monring, you should still be able to get to Mass. Most areas have Masses available from Saturday evening through Sunday evening. Check your parish schedule and parishes around you.

You don’t have to receive communion each time you go to Mass, and shouldn’t if you aren’t disposed (aware of grave sin, not having kept the fast), but you should still go to Mass each week.

Go to confession at the earliest possibility (most parishes have a Saturday confession time), but even if you can’t get to confession until next week do go to Mass this Sunday. Just don’t receive!
