My church was visited by a Redemptorist missionary. He was an exceptional facilitator and I enjoyed the three nights that he was there. I loved coming to church these past three nights to receive Reconciliation, Oils, Holy Water. But, the last night was the finale. It was a mass which he said(Redemptorist). I was very happy and comfortable and really glad I went these past three nights but than I became Uncomfortable. Before we prayed the Our Father he wanted everyone to join hands and recite this prayer. I never do this I don’t extend my hand every at mass. I don’t care if the people around me do this but I don’t. Well, I was by myself and had a women next to me and a pillar on the other side of me. She looked at me and I politely told her I don’t do that. I felt terrible about this and uncomfortable as well. Why is this being done and pushed on people in our church? Is this allowed and approved by the Pope? Please advise and do you think I was wrong? I felt bad about what I did to that women and I apologized to her because it seemed rude.
