I have always wanted to minister to the people of Japan, due to it’s barely 1% Christian population. God and the holy church have given me such joy, and I would love to show people how they can feel as I do. As someone who is new to Catholicism (raised protestant, new believer of the church) should I seek to become a missionary? What can I (as an un-ordained person) do to spread the word of God to these people? Is there a website I can go to get more information about the challenges, requirements, and organizations involved?

If you plan on being a missionary to Japan, I suggest having a wide knowledge of not just the Church and its teachings but also the culture of Japan you’re going to teach it to (both traditional and modern).

Oh I almost forgot. Learn the language too-desu. 😛
