Today, the first Sunday of Advent, our priests in MO were supposed to address the issue of human cloning and embryonic stem cell research in their homilies. There’s a ballot initiative to allow for such things that will probably be brought to a vote next November. Our priest handled it well; he talked about how we must make ethical laws and always have morality at the basis of our decisions. Our parish is also going to have a talk on the subject sometime soon.

How did your parishes deal with the issue?

Yes, Our priest gave a wonderful homily on the subject. I am just upset with the news media and how they are twisting it around. Why am I surprised?

Missouri Right to Life will be printing an article I wrote about abortion, cloning and stem cells. I am not sure when it will come out, but look for it! If you can’t wait here it is

Didn’t a dog just get cloned recently? I could very easily be wrong, but I think I heard that somewhere.

Yes, the same Koreans that successfully cloned human embryos for stem cells have also cloned a dog.

Yes we did. Our pastor gave a fine homily on the subject. He read most of it, but I think the intention was for each homily across the state to deliver the same basic message. I personally am happy to see moral teaching from the pulpit. I would very much like to see more of it.
