Mithra - Christianity, A Copy of Paganism?

Here is my situation. I constantly run into people who say that Christianity, especially the Catholic Church, copied from Mithraism. From what little research I’ve done, I haven’t been able to find any works that deal specifically with Mithra or Mithraism. I’ve been able to find a few sites that offer one or two paragraphs at the most disputing this but nothing in depth.

Does anyone have any knowledge of Mithra or know of any books dedicated to debunking the idea that Christianity copied from Mithraism?
