I’ve reached peak frustration with my #bossbabe acquaintances seeing me as a potential source or revenue for their companies I won’t buy from. Help me therapeutically recover by posting the best anti MLM memes and jokes you’ve got.

I think what is bothering me even more than usual is how many of them claim they have discerned a call from the Holy Spirit to sell…leggings or whatever.

If I had a dollar for every MLM scheme that has been thrown at me in my life, I’d have made more actual $$ than the average #bossbabe brings home in a year.

Sadly they prey on people 😦

That’s what makes me hate it all so much. You know that somewhere in their customer base are people who really are just hoping to be their friend because they need a friend. Those people will be exploited most.

I have. That one makes me really want to tie some of these ladies down and make them watch it because they live in a safe upper middle class world where they are unlikely to lead their family to ruin if they fail. They don’t need the money. So many people like the immigrants scammed by Herbalife in that movie are absolutely ruined by them.

In which case, they need an actual friend, not someone taking advantage of them.

Very much so. We need to find those people and just pull them straight into our inner circle where we can.

And the last thing they need is some sales person trying to sell them the “opportunity” of friendship. Friendship that will only last as long as they have money to buy the sales person’s trash.

There is no “eastern” or “western” medicine. There’s “medicine” and there’s “stuff that hasn’t been proven to work”

No, pink fizzy drinks don’t cure diseases.
Those are some of the most aggressive ones I’ve met. On the one hand they don’t host parties, so the preying on people’s loneliness part isn’t as much in play. They sure do prey on people’s hopes of looking and feeling better. Then when you can’t afford it (which is by design) they tell you to sell it. Sell a product you’ve never even tried just so you can afford it in the first place.

Constant exposure to the pink drink ladies made me believe I really was missing out on something that would make me feel less like I’d been run over by a truck by this life of nursing an unweanable baby all night and day. My discomfort with subscriptions and unwillingness to spend money I don’t have helped me escape that one.

Simcha Fisher gives coherent voice to my grumblings on so many topics, but in particular on how the pink drink sells self-loathing.

Those Herbalife fake “Smoothie Shops” are popping up all over me.

We have a local restaurant reviews facebook group where chains & franchises are not allowed, it is for locally owned and operated food only, they try to infiltrate our group. I always post who they are, what they are really shilling and it is amazing how they deny it!

Is it bad that I buy Mary Kay products directly from Amazon, bypassing the saleslady coming to my door?

(I really like their face cream)
