My mother frequently tried to change how my father dressed. Of course she tries to change how all of us dress. If she attended church, she’d be first lady of the clothing patrol. She’d have everyone who did not wear matching handbags and shoes excommunicated. I expect that’s why they got divorced. You’re allowed to divorce your wife if she tries to change how you dress. If you’re a daughter you just have to suck it up until one of you dies. I expect that if she goes before me, she’ll be standing at the perimeter of the kingdom of God when I get there, arms crossed, eyes rolling, and saying, “You’re wearing THAT?!”I suppose this can happen in the reverse, where the woman tries to change how the man dresses. This is not good either.
