Since predestination has been a topic that appears in a number of threads, I would like for someone to explain the Thomist and Molinist views on predestination. Also, If election is based on our foreseen merits, how is that reconciled with the gratuity of grace.

God Bless,
Michael

Tomster, on what basis does God make His election in Molinism? Is it based on merits. I know that in Thomism, correct me if I’m wrong, it’s not. Can you explaine Saint Francis de Sales postition?

Thanks and God Bless,
Michael
I am researching it. I need some time:hypno: :coffeeread:

I think your question is the reason for the Molinist doctrine of God’s “middle knowledge”: nd.edu/~afreddos/papers/molinism.htm
