My prolife group is designing a new website about the prolife movement here in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We are thinking of using photographs of escorts at Planned Parenthood doing offensive things towards us like croch-grabbing. Why? To inspire outrage at the hostility we often receive from pro-aborts when we’re prayerfully protesting there; to inspire prayer for such lost souls; to inspire more prolifers to join our protests. Would it be wrong for us to use these pictures on our website? Do we need to blur the faces? Thanx!

Definitely blur the faces. I don’t see why that would be wrong as long as you’re really serious about it so teenagers can’t joke about it. Great idea!

I am pretty sure that you will have to blur the faces, otherwise, the person in the picture might raise a ruckus. (I think that in some states at least, a picture with the face identifiable might cause some legal questions).
So, blur the faces, make the people unidentifiable, & then go ahead…I think it might wake some people up to what PP is doing.
The only other thing I would suggest, is to also be sensitive to the fact that you do not want little kids to see the pix, if they are just playing w/the computer…But I think you can design the site in such a way that the pictures are available, but not too easily accessible to children.
Take a look at the “Priests for Life” website. They have pictures of actual abortions, but they are set up in such a way, that you need to look for them. I think that they do a good job of (A) showing graphic material, &(B)not being over blatant in a way that might shock kids.
