Morality or Immorality of Sanctions on other countries.
There is a lot on the web on this issue. Just search for “immorality” and “sanctions”.
We have sanctioned North Korea, Venezuela, Iran. In the past Iraq. We do it to try to change the dictators mind. Though, I think we have a chance for a positive affect on some of these countries, it appears to often come off harsh to the more average citizenry.
Then, you also have specific sanctioning that goes on, a General in country X, a bank or banker. More specified sanctioning and this often does not affect the common people. Most find this to be more acceptable.
It’s definitely a dilemma and some countries besides, find ways around sanctions.
