It is interesting that you bring up the state of religious affairs in Europe because the pope is focusing on replanting the Faith there. That is why there is going to be a big celebration on the 150th anniversary of Lourdes. And there IS a very strong remnant church that exists in western Europe in spite of secularization.

The greatest danger to human freedom, however, is the state passing laws limiting free speech. It is a constant tug of war in this country (USA) but well worth it. I cannot even begin to think how our culture would change if anti-free speech laws were enacted (some states do have hate-speech laws, but they are being challenged throughout the court system). Mostly, anti-free speech laws exist to curtail churches with regard to moral teachings. There is a very big influential group in the USA which is intent on bankrupting the Catholic Church and is being funded by secular liberals to pass laws attacking the ability of the Catholic Church to teach the Faith. They have been quite successful in Canada, much to the dismay of Catholics and evangelicals there.

Its enough to explore those West European countries where Christianity almost died out ,there we can hear today more and more calls for the return to the faith , more worriness about the sucide rates , decline of population , islamisation of Europe …

How can I know , who I am if God does not tell me about it ?
If God tald me the truth about Him , and about myslelf , its a crime to ignore it.

We are born to believe , we can not solve the problem of life , the problem of existance , the problem of good - without God.
If there is no God in the politics , if there is no God in the school , then the man’s nobility is abolishing,
if the truth has no right to be heared , then we should expect more debasement , more corruption , more ignorance .

I used to think that US is the prove that it is possible to be the enlightened , democratic , developed , prosperous and at the same time the country where religion is important.

I think that the measure of importance of religion in US , is reflecting and will reflect on the importance of religion in many other christian countries.
