Okay so DF and I have decided on Johnny Cash and June Carter finally lol but now his sister and I (she’s 20) are trying to figure out a costume for her. Her baby is going to be dressed as Daisy Duck and her husband won’t dress up. She would like something from a musical or a movie that won’t break the bank and is appropriate for a carnival. Any ideas?

P.S. she has said no to sally from nightmare before christmas just so you know

Musical…

Pirates of Penzance - a Pirate costume is simple.

Annie - Red wig, red dress…

How about dressing the baby up like Raggedy Ann, and she can be the girl who owns the dolls? I can’t think of her name…

I like this idea but the baby’s grandma already bought a daisy duck costume at the disney store. so she’s daisy no matter what

If the baby is Daisy, then your sister has to be FIGARO THE CAT (because Pluto belongs to Mickey Mouse after all). A cat costume is easy and a black cat costume is even easier. A black outfit with ears perched on a headband and Figaro usually wears a bow tie.

If not Figaro. then how about:
  • Ismerelda from* the Hunchback of Notre Dame*? It’s a Disney classic. It’s been on Broadway. It’s easy to do. A bunch of colorful skirts. A loose white top. Head tied up in a scarf. Lots of bangles.
  • Christine from Phantom?
  • Cosette or the Landlady from Les Miserables?
  • Betty or Frenchy from Grease?
  • Debbie from American Graffiti?
These can all be done inexpensively and often out of one’s own closet, escept for debbie’s blonde hair helmet.
