** Of the three children of Fatama, Lucia is the remaining survivor with us yet today, and well up into her 90’s. It was revealed to her that she would remain upon Earth until the last days. Am told that this is true?
Also, that Pope Pias XIII th shall become the last Pope in the Church? (I’ve known about this for past 50 years!)**

  1. Anything revealed in a private revelation is non-binding on anyone other than the person who received the revelation. I am sure if Lucia had a revelation it was wonderful, but it isn’t binding upon me or anyone else.
  2. No pope ever has or ever will speak dogmatically about who the last pope will be. Interestingly enough, sedevacantist anti-pope Lucian Pulvermacher took the name Pius XIII when he was elected pope by his hand selected group of followers.

Beware of Catholic rumor-mongering and conspiracy theories! The Evangelicals and Fundamentalists aren’t the only ones with adherents who see the end times in everything. I don’t know about the veracity of the claim about Lucia, but Benny Hinn claims God “revealed” to him that he would be alive for the end times. (Well, I guess Mr. Hinn thinks he will be alive until exactly seven years before the end, when he will be “raptured.”)

Much of this has been speculation and rumors spread from the beginning. Lucia has never said this but many others have. You can only trust what is actually recorded in Sr. Lucia’s account. The rest is not worthy of belief. As others have said, Private Revelation is good and worthy to a point but is not to be used as dogma nor the truth of the faith. Your above example of this rumor being taken as truth is a good example of why the church uses such caution. I don’t say that to make fun of it by any means. Merely to clarify.

This is the actual statement by Sr. Lucia:
Then Lucia asked the Blessed Virgin to take them all to heaven. "Yes, I shall quickly come to take Jacinta and Francesco. You shall stay here for awhile
as Jesus wants to use you to make me known and loved and to establish, throughout the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart, to all those who embrace it I promise the salvation, and their souls will be loved by God as flowers placed by me before His throne."

Awhile is not a statement that it will be to the end of the world. While 90 + years is a long time it is not a record for old age by any means. One of my old Bishop’s died at the age of 103. He was a wonderful Bishop but he was not a seer. He loved Fatima though.

Hope that helps you in your question of discernment.
Pax,
Marie
