Scarcely anything has been more clearly expressed in the Bible
or better understood by the faithful than the need and power of prayer. Christ insists: “Ask and it shall be given to you . . . For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds.” (Matthew 7:7-8) Asking is made a condition for the grant of favors, not for God’s sake, as if He needed our prayers or would be unaware of our wants unless we asked, but for our sakes, that we may go to Him with confidence and recognize Him as the Author of all our good. The motive of our prayer, however, is not that we may change the dispositions of Providence, but that, by our prayers, we may obtain what God has appointed.

Pray away! Remember me, please, in all of your prayers. You are in mine.

BTW - Check out Acts 2:1-4

thank you
i will do that

i just dont want god to think that im taking advantage of anything, i just discoverd the novenas two weeks ago and im still kicking myself for not knowing this.
im in my twenties i was born a christian, and now im returning to god,

i had my prayers interepted many times before, i think its the satan.
i will not give up,
why do i have a hard time doing this?

thank you for listening,
any facts or openions are welcome.

Well, nine days is a long time! It requires sustained effort. God knows our weakness but loves us for the effort anyway, even if we don’t complete it.

Perhaps start with a shorter novena - there’s one to St Therese that is said over five days instead of nine. I can message you with it if you like. And it helps to always say it at the same time each day - it’s easiest if you do it first thing when you get up maybe.

And don’t worry, God reveals these prayers to us, so we’re not taking undue advantage of anything. He’s wiser than to allow us to manipulate Him or anything.

i think there was a time I made a novena for the poor souls, and a novena to a saint at the same time.

thank you guys for clearing things out for me.

i started the two novenas two days ago.
and today i started the 54 day rosary novena.
i dont care how much i have to pray now.
i talked to a preist about how i dont feel satisifed after a prayer and how i feel like it is interepted, he told me that talking about it to him was a sign of good thing and that im willing to fight this devil, but i have to be honest, everytime i pray it gets easier and easier.

i just need god to help me to get through everyday, i was in a really dark place for a very long time, not by choice. i did not want to go on.

im still fighting it, i turned to praying 5 months ago, it was not easy in the begining, in fact it was very very hard, like hopeless hard, it just started to give me little bit of peace in about 2 weeks ago.

i hope with all of my heart and soul that god is listening to me and will make me worthy and help me with the things i need help with so i will never have to be in that dark place ever again.
and to bless all the people here.
i joined this place two days ago. ive been reading a lot,
thank you for the people who took the time and replyed.
