Well, maybe fedex will have to hire more drivers.

But the basic problem with Americans is we simultaneously want cheap consumer goods from Walmart or amazon and a vibrant blue collar job market. You can either get your socks made in Bangladesh at Walmart dirt cheap, OR you can get socks made in the US that are more expensive. You can’t have both.
 
It’s about the deficiencies of the U.S. Postal Service and how FedEx and Amazon .com are finding ways to overcome those deficiencies.
 
Not sure how this a Wall Street problem. Companies strive to meet customer needs at the lowest cost with the best service.

People wanting a job need to do the same.
Learn the ships that people are willing to pay for. There are lost of craft jobs out there. You might have to move to where the job is!

I am only 78 years old but I have seen this worm turn many times. Ever time a job is eliminated another is available.

I get deliveries from Amazon via the USPS on Sundays quite frequently. It is actually my preferred date. I’ve also had “fed-ex” and “ups” deliveries handed to me by USPS.
