On Friday I was working in a apartment here in Logan Utah. The women who lived there was from Southern Utah and of Mexican decent. About fifteen minutes after I arrived the women arrived home; then two Mormon Missionaries came to her door. They asked her if she was still on for her lesson for that night. She said she would be there along with her young boy. After they left I told her that I was Catholic, that I usually do not talk about my faith while I am working for others, but that I would like to if it was ok with her. She said that it was ok. I asked her if she was Catholic because I saw a crucifix above her door. She said yes. That she came up here to logan a few months ago. That she stayed in a shelter with her boy. The Mormon Church helped her get out and into the apartment. I asked her if she was thinking about becoming Mormon and she said maybe. I asked why. She told me all the things that they were doing for her. We talked for about 20 minutes and she is going to Mass this Sunday. She has never been to Mass here. I told her that the Chapel was always open and she was surprised. She asked me if she would have to wear a dress because she had none. I told her no, just come as you are, as we all do. She said that she did not felt comfortable with the missionaries because they were trying to move her along to fast into baptism. That she was feeing obligated because of the help they were giving. I told her that she could find help in our Church, that I myself would help as well. I told her to remember that in the desert Satan offered Jesus help in his suffering but he said no, “I do not need your help”. Because this help was not from God. That it had alternative motive. She understood. If you spend some time at my site all this will make sense. It is my mission here in Utah…I was once taught Mormonism as a child myself. But I have since found God www.catholic-rcia.com

I thought I would write to let you know what my calling, for Christ in Utah is. My whole being tells me to go door to door, you can find this on my site as well. I need your support, this can be found on my site as well at the link below. You can help us here by making a donation to the building of our new Church right in the middle of this Mormon valley or by making a donation to our evangelization fund that I am called to head up. This fund helps purchase materials given door to door. It gives us the opportunity to meet and talk to those just like Elisabeth before it is to late. And believe me there are a lot out here just like Elizabeth. We need to be there at the right time just as I happened to be yesterday. Open your heart to this today and help. My site is a bit rough around the edges as I am no pro. Just motivated for Christ here in Utah, things are beginning to move along.

Please help. You can call me direct at 435-881-5722 or e-mail me at the utahmission @aol.com. If you would like updates on Elisabeth and others please let me know. If you have questions please call or e-mail. You can always speak to Father Clearance Sandoval at 435-752-1478 or 435-753-6724

God Bless

Pray for Elisabeth everyone. I got to her home and started working before she even arrived. While I was alone in this home my heart told me that someone here needs help. Again pray everyone for a single Catholic mom and a young man. If you now the Mormon faith at all than you know that this is a good place to place your efforts. To help!!!

God Bless

God Bless, what you are doing. We as Catholics should help anyone in need, but if we can’t take care of our own, then we need to take care of that:)

I fully agree. Keep her focused on the faith and maybe let her know just how weird the Mormon beliefs are. Bud Macfarlane has a great novel that has a Mormon bishop converting to Catholicism and then exposing them. It’s pretty cool. It’s called Pierced By A Sword and is available free (along w/his 2 other books) here: catholicity.com/saintjude/ It’s good stuff.
You and your friend will be in my prayers & Mass :gopray:
