Utah (12-0 and riding the longest current Bowl winning streak) is going to the big time BCS Sugar Bowl against Alabama.

Notre Dame (6-6 and losing nine straight bowl games) is going to the lowly Hawaii Bowl against Hawaii.

You guys should start obeying the Word of Wisdom.

Granted, Utah isn’t a “Mormon” school but it was founded by The Church as the first university west of the Mississippi.

I wonder how many Catholics are on Florida and Oklahoma? And don’t forget Boston College. And I wonder how many Catholics are on Utah? And don’t forget that Jim McMahon was Catholic.

Good morning, Snow. I realize football is an article of faith for some, but what does selection for a post-season bowl in this particular year realistically have to do with anything?

Your remarks on the Word of Wisdom appear to be nothing but end-zone taunting and baiting. Fifteen yards. 😃

I could care-less about American Football and your forecasts. I’m not American unless this is to imply non-American Christians are not welcomed here. What i want to know is how this thread is supposed to bring about a proper discussion between Mormons and Catholics.

Even though I am not an Alabama fan, I live in Alabama. I think that Alabama was founded as a Methodist School. In any event, they tend to worship Football and Bear Bryant there.

I have seen them play up-close.

After they ram the ball down Utah’s throat, can we say that Bear Bryant was a greater Prophet than JS?

O goody. A Mormon v Catholic football trash talkin’ thread. :D:popcorn:

Notre Dame

11 National Championships over 824 all time victories.

Utah

0 National Championships 593 all time victories. This seems inflated I wonder how many of these victories came in the storied Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference that they were members of for over 20 years.

11>0; 824>593; ND>Univ. U

Might as well even throw BYU into the mix.

BYU

1 National Championship 484 all-time wins

Your right. Not even close.

God bless and GO :shamrock2: !

Works for me!

Of course, Brigham Young’s great-great-great grandson holds the highest quarterback passer rating of all time.

I yell for the Jayhawks and whoever is playing Notre Dame!!

McMahon was Catholic!! I am not sure I would claim that one. Now the Fridge…I would claim him…

How about Polamalu from the Steelers? He does the Sign of the Cross before every play.

Although he played for USC

God bless
