FMX,

Glad you got yourself out of that situation. Those are land-mines to be avoided at all costs.

Hoping for both your sister and her (on-off) boyfriend that they too find they way out of the drugs etc. I will pray for them…Drugs, from my experience with various family members, are one of the most destructive evil devices that there are.

Nothing you confess to your priest will surprise him. He will rejoice that you are free from all that kind of destructive harm…

And it all stays right there, in the confessional. No one else need every know if you chose never to share it.

God Bless 👍
I’m surprised I actually typed it up! I’m glad I’ve done it now though. It’s all out in the open, you know, I feel better for it.

Thank you so much for this support.

When I had serious doubts about the Sacrament of Confession, what you stated above was pretty much what my priest explained to me.

We need to vocalize our sins. Hear them. To get them out in the open (it’s like lancing a infected wound to get out the infection) But in a safe way. In a loving way. In God’s way.

Thru this sacrament, we are healed.

Then, FMX, it is important you trust in God’s mercy, forgive yourself, and let it go. Don’t hang onto the infection.
