They just don’t get it. A girl who is sexually active at the age of 10 or 11 years old is being abused.
They need ABSTINENCE BASED EDUCATION starting maybe as young as 9. Young Girls who understand that Abstinence stops Pregnancies and STDs, and that they have value outside of the pleasure they can give “fevered boys”, and that they “are worth waiting for” will be have more tools to resist this form of abuse.
The Church needs to get more of these young peple, esp. the ones whose families aren’t taking them to Church, into Church. Young birls and boys who have spiritual relstionships to God and to each other, and the Hope of ABUNDANT lives here and in Heaven, will have more reasons to resist PRE-MATURE. PRE-MARITAL and all other forms of EXTRA-MARITAL SEX.
The best thing most of us can do for them is to pray for the people educators, the Government, the Church and the CHILDREN and their parents in the same way that we all once prayed for the conversion of Russia.
Some of us may be able to do some good writing letters to the responsible officials. For that to work, we’ll need the accurate information on who they are, what their roles in this travesty are and how exactly to contact them.
I imagine that information is something most Irish in the forum will have or will be able to get…
