Any direct mention of mortal and venial sin in Holy Scripture?
I don’t think specifically. Matthew 5:22 and 1 John 5:16 come to mind as describing varied severity of sins.Any direct mention of mortal and venial sin in Holy Scripture?
Some translations read sin unto death, but either way, there’s clearly being a distinction made between types of sin. Which we would call venial and mortal sin. Sin which leads unto death, and sin that does not.If anyone sees his brother committing what is not a mortal sin, he will ask, and God will give him life for those whose sin is not mortal. There is sin which is mortal; I do not say one is to pray for that. ** All wrongdoing is sin. But there is** sin which is NOT MORTAL
