Mortal sin? or just near occasion

Hi im kinda embarassed to do this but i saw how helpful u guys are and soo here i am. I have a question if you look at porn or at nude pictures of the opposite sex out of curiosity is it a sin? I really dont think i lusted and afterward i honestly felt sick. please help

Curiosity can oftentimes be what gets us in trouble. Imagine the people in those photos or videos as if they were your sister or brother. They have parents and siblings and are real human beings that deserve more than to be objectified for gratification.

This is a very common situation, the priest will not be surprised or taken aback. The priest wants to help!

yeah i understand i guess. sorry if im being annoying but the thing is i was just curious about the human body and now i know and feel sick i really dont think i was lusting

If you’re curious about the human body, look at diagrams (?) not nude pictures perhaps…it depends on the intent, mortal sin is consciously distancing ourselves from God and doing something we know is wrong. Sounds like not the case, but talk to a priest anyways, because he is there to help and answer your questions! And if you had any alternative feelings other than innocent curiosity while looking at them, confess it. And yes, don’t disrespect others by invading their privacy by looking at their pictures, we are all one family, they’re sisters/brothers.
