If I committed idolatry and paganism, but didn’t know that what I was doing was actually paganism and idolatry, is it still a mortal sin?

For a sin to be mortal, 3 conditions must be present:
  1. Grave matter. Sin itself must be serious.
  2. Full knowledge. You must know that it’s a grave sin.
  3. Complete consent of the will. You must freely choose to do it anyway.
In your example, you are missing #2, so it’s not a mortal sin.

I’d prefer you to be more specific in regard to idolatry and paganism. They are extremely broad terms.

I was worshipping some carvings of Jesus more than Jesus Himself.

If it is on your conscience, mention it in confession,

When you become aware something was a sin, there is no harm in confessing it in confession.

I think you just have a scrupulous conscience,

Catholics may use images of Jesus or the saints,

Im quite capable of worshipping false gods through my various addictions but this one of yours is hard to comprehend or empathise with. Unusual.
Honestly it sounds like nothing really. Are you an art dealer/collector or something?
