Mortal Sin?

Thank you for the invitation. My current question pertains to Justification and the loss thereof, as a result of mortal sin. I know the definition of “mortal sin” via the Catechism, but not what it looks like. I imagine “adultery” is a mortal sin, but is “lust”? Jesus spoke of that in Matt 5:28. “Murder” would be, but how about anger etc.
Any feedback?

Venial sins are confessed optionally. Mortal Sins should always be confessed.
