I believe that Moses authored the TORAH, the five Books of The Law. Is this a strict Catholic belief ?

I recently read a very difficult “read” about the origin of the Bible, The origin happened ages and ages ago. The Bible didn’t start out as a book. It was oral which then later was written down and then much later translated. The coolist thing that I learned was about the translation of Septuagint. That whole story floored me.
Pretty remarkable.
Lately, I’ve been really reading the OT in conjunction with the New. While at mass, we usually have the first reading which is is out of the OT, then the 2nd is from an epistle, and then the Gospel. Well, I’ve been trying lately to not overlook the surrounding OT verses with these three. It really digs deeper.
For instance, this Sunday, the Gospel talks about workers’ wages. A reader can also go back into the OT and read about workers’ wages. I found myself reading Tobit, a book that I normally don’t see much. I landed myself onto this really great section. Angel Raphael was saying in Tobit 12:6 "Thank God! Give HIM the praise and the glory. Before all the living, acknowledge the many good things he has done for you, by blessing and extolling his name in song. Before all men, honor and proclaim God’s deeds, and do not be slack in praising Him. "
These words just kind of really spoke to me this day, especially when they are placed next to the Gospel.
A while ago, we had the readings about doing something different, stepping out of our comfort zone. Digging into the OT and also the NT, flipping back and forth, exploring the Word is something that many, many Christians can do to go beyond the everyday normal. God really does speak to you through the Bible. You have to be open to it and search for it.
Learning the Bible isn’t just finding out who wrote it, but listening to the pages speak.
