Hi, merry Christmas everyone,
Just for fun have you received an amusing present today?

I know someone who was given a multi purpose nesting box!
Multi purpose? 🤣 or is it me?

I have to scratch my head and almost laugh at why the Father gave me, and us, the greatest gift of all – his Son…especially given our faults and unworthiness…but whether the most amusing present or not, it truly is the best!

My son was given a set of fake invoices from tradesmen, he’s not a Catholic. The idea is that you might have a day off and bring the invoice in to work as proof of your excuse!
Honestly!

I have a t-shirt that says “grammar police”, which, anyone who knows me knows this is accurate. (Not so much with spelling, but with spoken speech, which saying it, was redundant). I did get some interesting stuff, a crucifix, a rosary, shoes, a waffle maker, and, chocolate covered cherries. I got a coat, too. My favourite is my crucifix, but I thought my shirt was funny.

These are all wonderful gifts! 🙂

Have fun with the waffle maker. We have one.

I haven’t used it in some time, though.

Your post reminds me that I should take it down from the cabinet and use it more often. There’s nothing quite like homemade waffles. It makes regular square waffles. It doesn’t make the Belgian-style waffles.

I’m a bit of a francophile, and Belgium, being a French speaking country (don’t tell the Flemish)!, is a place that interests me. Mine will make Belgian waffles (which are really American, but not too different from what you find in Belgium). I had to make mine kind of odd, as I was missing some of the ingredients, but it ended up delicious!

I love Belgian waffles, and I’ve seen enough Belgian waffle makers that I was actually thinking that I’d like to have one, even though I have this regular waffle maker, too.

There’s nothing like a Belgian-style waffle. They just seem to be so decadent. To me, they’re like more of a dessert waffle I guess, even though you could eat a regular-style waffle like that, too. 🙂

I feel like the fluffier waffles taste better. I haven’t been to it yet, but there’s a legit Belgian waffle truck in Columbia, and I looked up information about it. You can tell they’re really Belgian because the owners have French first names and Dutch surnames. My nephew though, every time we have Belgian waffles in our house, he has to eat them. He tried to pretend like he didn’t like them once, and I called him out on it. And, he ate his Belgian waffles. Because they’re delicious.
