Can any CAF members point them out? I know that the show was generally aimed at adults, but the Television Code was in effect during its entire run on CBS.

My memory may be faulty, but based on the network broadcast standards at the time the original Five-O ran (1968 - 1980), I have a tough time thinking that by today’s measure, any of them would not be considered “family-friendly.” Yes, bad guys got shot, but that’s been a staple since early TV westerns. After all, it is a police show. And of course, I state without fear of disagreement, that the very best episodes of Five-O were those with “the arch villain, Wo Fat!”

I was thinking the same thing. Probably very mild compared to what people now see.

Good grief, they were all family-friendly, along with the vast majority of the police/ PI shows of that era.
I believe one episode featured someone hanging themself and it was not re-aired by the network. I found it on YouTube and watched it. It was very mild.

I was absolutely thrilled when we took a Hawaiian vacation a few years ago and our hotel room happened to look out on the building where Jack Lord ran around the roof in the opening credits. The building had obviously seen better days but I didn’t care. Best opening theme ever!

I remember one episode where Wo Fat held a little girl captive on a vessel.
