Most habit wearing religious orders of the 12-16th centuries

Peace brethren!
As we ve seen, since the begining of atleast this century the use of the religious habit by all of the great orders founded between the 12-16th centuries ago is a thing of the past…WHY? Lets discuss hw it affects catholicism and “YOU”

We should also catch fun by voicing ur opinions about those who use it more often.

LETS THE FUN BEGIN!!!
 
I in my country,the capuchins use their habits more often, u can see them in the market,hospitals,schools etc with there habits.

Dominicans comes next to the capuchins but they use theirs to the best i know only in their convent in mass, vespers(it seems compulsory).

The Discalced Carmelites dnt even use theirs while even in a sunday mass…and some may b4 even getting to the Door of the chapel remove theirs after their prayers.

The OSA:I only see some of them with their habits in the mass

What about the mercederenians,Augustinian recollects,Jesuits with cassock,minins,OFM Conv,OFM,O.Carm,piarists,Theatines,Nobertines etc
 
You might want to search the forum and join one of the hundreds of existing threads on this topic. In short, some orders were founded to wear habits and others were not. Some have revised their practices to return to their roots of not wearing habits. We really have no say in the matter.

Whether a religious order wears a habit or not does not affect my Catholicism. Religious garb can hide a heart most evil. By their works we know them.
