I’m sure it’s not wise to play Peter against Paul because Paul wrote 1/2 the NT. If you read the two Epistles of Peter, they do not promote good works for justification. You can interpert Peter alone for baptismal regeneration (it’s a strech).

And who is pitting Peter against Paul? That is more a protestant tactic than a Catholic one.

Okay I will have to go and back and read the orginal line of this discussion as you’ve lost me in this response.
