At one time, a close associate of Mother Angelica, foundress of EWTN. Her new order, the Sister Servants of the Eternal Word, was to be an active order, in contrast to Mother Angelica’s cloistered Poor Clares. She and Mother Angelica eventually had a falling out and went their separate ways.

She is also the blood sister of Mother Assumpta Long, foundress of the DSMMEs in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Interesting that both sisters are also foundresses!
