Mother Teresa's Dark Night

It is pretty well known/documented that Mother Teresa had a long and arduous dark night of the soul. Does anyone know if her dark night ended before she died? It would be comforting to know that God came back to her in those final moments. But either way, she is a remarkable servant.
 
I remember reading that her Dark Night did end before she died. I also remember when the story broke about her Dark Night, secular journalists–who don’t have a clue about what a Dark Night is–were making Mother Teresa out to be some sort of hypocrite.

God never left her, just the sensible feeling of Him left.
 
Sorry I can’t document this. It was long ago and I’m getting old. But I do remember one writer who was intimating that Mother Teresa was a hypocrite because of this.

Just because someone writes for The NYTimes or Washington Post or LA Times or TIME Magazine, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are “secular journalists”, btw.
Many journalists who work in the top newsrooms of the world are Theists.

Secular by definition means Anything not affiliated with a church or faith. Journalist who write for NY Times or Washington Post or LA Times or TIME Magazine are indeed secular writers. If they wrote for the Sunday Visitor, The Register, Relevant, or Charisma would be religious writers.
