i don’t think it is exactly the best movie for kids. people (granted they are cartoons but they look so much like people they might as well be) die in big explosions, and there are a number of sexual innuendos (including an, although mistaken, extra-marital affair) and the kids aren’t the best behaved (especially dash who gets “caught” putting a tack on the teacher’s chair). i think the movie has a great message and is extremely well written and voiced. i would highly recommend anyone over the age of reason to see it, but little kids might want to sit this one out (it’s the first disney animated movie, and yes i know pixar did it but in cooperation with disney, to be rated PG instead of G, just a thought)Excellent movie for kids…
i saw Polar Express last night… Great New Christmas Classic… in my view… i loved it…DH wanted to take DS for it yesterday, but I insisted they go to The Polar Express (which DS enjoyed) instead since Incredibles was PG and Polar Express was G.
How old is DS?DH wanted to take DS for it yesterday, but I insisted they go to The Polar Express (which DS enjoyed) instead since Incredibles was PG and Polar Express was G.
I think the intensity of some scenes are too much for younger viewers.can someone tell me what gives it the “PG” rating… just curious…
I think that’s why the Harry Potter movies were also rated PG.I think the intensity of some scenes are too much for younger viewers.
Actually that’s not true. Don’t ask me why I know this, but The Black Cauldron and Lilo and Stitch were both rated PG.it’s the first disney animated movie, and yes i know pixar did it but in cooperation with disney, to be rated PG instead of G, just a thought)
you may be right. i was quoting entertainment weekly with this and didn’t do the research myself (shame on me!). i don’t know about lilo and stitch (man that looked like a terrible movie) but i could see how the black cauldron could’ve been PG, but i think it came out as a G movie but was later elevated to PG when the new ratings system came in a few years ago (in the late 80’s).Actually that’s not true. Don’t ask me why I know this, but The Black Cauldron and Lilo and Stitch were both rated PG.
