I understand that all the attention’s on Amy Schumer, but the movie “Trainwreck” is still a Judd Apatow movie - the guy who made “Knocked Up” (the secular pro-life movie that pre-dated “Juno”) and whose conservative/pro-marriage bias has never been a secret.

That said, is it possible Amy Shumer based her script on the OT Book of Hosea? She is Jewish, and according to Wikipedia, was a frequent contributor to Fox News. So, it is possible…

Hmm. I’m not familiar with Hosea (eek lol, I should crack open my OT) but that is a good theory. I know Amy Schumer used to appear on Red Eye, a comedic/satire talk show late night on Fox. Yea, Apatow (whose movies I love) does have views well, that aren’t in line w/the typical celebrity and conveys it well.

Can you give a brief summary of Hosea for me though? If that’s okay.

I’m really surprised at how much I liked “Trainwreck,” as it’s now tied with “This Is 40” as my favorite Apatow movie. There’s a definite pro-life/pro-marriage bias in “Trainwreck,” as Amy’s sister’s unborn child (her niece-to-be) is acknowledged in a very touching way. I was not prepared to cry at the end - bring kleenex. Some of her family back story with their dad in the nursing home and her sister’s family and nephew - who brought onions into the theater?
