I recently had a lot of doubt about any existence of a deity and the like. But since that time I have had some experiences that make me think that I have been mistaken and wrong. I am sure that the Catholic faith is the one I find to be the most rational and true. Granted, some aspects of the faith are not rational but that is where faith comes in and I have hope that it’s all true. So there are two gifts already, faith and hope.

I had started RCIA before around 3 years ago but did not finish obviously. It was poorly run and lacked in so many areas. I was turned off completely. After coming back to the path, I called up my local parish for RCIA. The instructor is amazing and so full of good information. I am actually looking forward to this class and completing my journey.

I just wanted to give a small update and please say a prayer if you could. I am going to finish this and am going to need all the help I can get.

Glad to be back.

That’s really great to hear!

Good luck with the RCIA process, and I (we) look forward to having you as a full member of the Catholic Church!😃

Snowman,

Welcome back to RCIA! I’m glad you have a terrific instructor who, it sounds like, is motivating and inspiring. Enjoy your classes! And don’t be afraid to reach out and learn some on your own.

I have found this forum to be of great help. When I read about a topic that interests me I tend to go in search of more information either in the Bible, the CCC, the Catholic Encyclopedia (usually too much information for me at this point), and even online. When I search for information online I always include the word Catholic in my search request, to make my search more specific even if the topic is very much a Catholic one. For example:
Search: Catholic Holy Days of Obligation
Doing this give rise to additional questions which can then be asked at RCIA, or of my sponsor.

And always keep in mind, the BEST teacher is the Holy Spirit. Prayer is so very important in finding the help you need. Always remember prayer!

Looking forward to reading more about your journey toward home.

Hope
